The programme began with traditional welcome by the school student council leaders and house captains by escorting the dignitaries to the stage.
The Chief Guest for the day was Dr.D.Paramesh Nayak Professor, Department of Environmental Science, Bangalore University, school secretary Mrs. Yashodamma Krishnappa and principal Mr.Nagesh.D.N. The invites, guests and parents witnessed the gracious march past, torch relay and the final match of Volley ball. The programme was followed with prize distribution. Navodaya Kishore Kendra celebrated children’s day as this day is the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Who is popularly known as Chacha Nehru amongst children.
The Programme began after morning assembly at the school Auditorium. The Teachers performed dances, skits and different fun activities. Teachers spoke on the significance of the day and as well gave valuable messages to the children.
The Chief Guest Mrs.Yashodamma Krishnappa Secretary of the school in her speech ‘beautifully highlighted that the childhood is a wonderful period in the life of everybody and also insisted that children need to be loved and cared for.

Educational Trips provide an opportunity for total involvement in the natural environment and social setting. Students practice their social skills out side of the controlled classroom. The school organised educational trip at ‘Chikmangalur’ for VI to X grade students for 3 days from 07.10.2016 to 09.10.2016.
Chikmangalur is a place with most serene and picturesque tourist destinations. It is surrounded with scenic hills, charming streams and gurgling lakes. Visiting the places like Mullayanagiri, it is highest peak in Karnataka, Baba Budan Giri (Datta Peeta) and watching impressive scenery at Jerry falls which offered an excellent view of the cascading water from the Chandra Drona hills. Even the city of Chikmangalur has a rich history where the Hoysala rulers started early days of their dynasty. The tour was a great experience and joy to visitors.Read More
Navodaya Kishore Kendra Celebrated world Environmental Day with full enthusiasm by the speech and guidance given by our Honourable Chairman Mr.E.Krishnappa, who said World Environment, is not only plating trees and keeping our surrounding clean it also includes inner-cleanliness i.e., Body, Mind and Soul.
Student’s speech, songs, and drama inspired the gathering, NKK students and staff went one step further and planted saplings of trees in the Singapura Market Road.

Grand parents are special to every child. Their knowledge is more valuable and their love can’t be measured. The programme began with gifting the cards and flowers to grand parents.

The Chief Guest for the day was Dr.S.N.OMKAR, Chief research Scientist, Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of science. Mr.E.Krishnappa, Managing Trustee of the school and Mrs. Yashodamma Krishnappa Secretary of the school also graced the occasion.
The programme began by hoisting the national flag with a salutation, followed by march past by the four houses and the band troop. The gathered group witnessed great patriotic dances and some great talents of the school children. The students glorified the programme with their beautiful performance.
